Though chilling with terrifying monsters and ghouls, the Goosebumps books has been catalyst for many children to learn how to read. As a child growing up I revile whenever a new books is released, anticipating which creepy beast will be R.L. Stine books. Now The Goosebumps film starring Jack Black, looks a whole lot like Jumanji, but with the added twist of having all kinds of weird monsters take the place of the terrifying elements of the jungle. Watching the film evokes a suffusing nostalgia, so we figured now would be a perfect time to take a look at some of the horror monster that makes Goosebumps movie awesome. Get ready for these six major threats!
This Nosferatu-looking vampire reminds us of Please Don't Feed the Vampire!. You can buy the book from Amazon by clicking The Image below
This is so similar to the horror film Jeepers Creepers where the monster portrays itself as Scarecrow. Besides this sort of scary looking thing comes from the title, The Scarecrow Walks At Midnight - so steer clear of cornfields if you want to avoid this terrifying monstrosity. You can buy the book from Amazon by clicking The Image below
Next up we've got a seriously psycho looking clown. Though he seems a nod to Stephen King's iconic It, this jeering jester could have been culled out of the pages of the choose-your-own-adventure Goosebumps book Trapped in the Circus of Fear. You can buy the book from Amazon by clicking The Image below
Besides being a horror staple, zombies have popped up in quite a few Goosebumps books. These are Zombie School, Zombie Halloween, and Why I Quit Zombie School. You can buy the books from Amazon by clicking The Image below
This pirate ye see here could well be the murderous Captain Long Ben One-Leg, captain of the Scarlet Skull and villain of Creep from the Deep. You can buy the book from Amazon by clicking The Image below
And last but not least, Slappy. Slappy might seem harmless enough - just a beat-up, old ventriloquist puppet. But this dummy has an insatiable thirst for mayhem. He popped up in R.L. Stine's kid-friendly horror novels, Night of the Living Dummy 1-3, Bride of the Living Dummy, Slappy's Nightmare, Revenge of the Living Dummy, and more. It’s little wonder that he's popping up in the live-action Goosebumps movie.

Thanks for the link. I watched the film in theaters last night and it was great. I was actually thinking about buying some of the books for my son since I lost my collection.

Perhaps you mean the praying Mantis. That originates from A Shock on Shocker Street
