New Batman V Superman Justice League Cameo Details
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is going to be a massive movie; one might also venture to call it crowded. Despite the fact that Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) will be coming together to do battle with Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) and Doomsday, the movie still appears to have more DC characters waiting in the wings.
True to its name, Batman V Superman will seemingly showcase the real birth of the Justice League. New rumors indicate that the film will feature cameos from many other members of the iconic superhero team. Latino Review reports that appearances for various members of the Justice League have been rumored for the film. Aquaman (Jason Momoa) will likely have the largest cameo in the film, drawn into the fray by Luthor. It’s also reported that Vic Stone (Ray Fisher) will have a brief cameo; the report indicates that Stone will appear, but says nothing about whether or not audiences will get a chance to see Cyborg at any point in the film. Considering the fact that Stone’s high-tech Cyborg persona is a prosthesis required due to massive injuries, something less than pleasant may end up happening to Stone at some point during Batman V Superman — or possibly during the film’s flashbacks to Man of Steel. Those two cameos have been confirmed, but another rumored cameo from a member of the Justice League could also be the quickest — literally. Rumor has it that Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen will appear both as the everyday forensic scientist the world knows him as, as well as scarlet speedster The Flash. It’s reportedly an incredibly brief appearance — with Flash appearing as little more than a blur — and could very well end up on the cutting room floor. The rumor also seems to quash the hope that any of the DC Extended Universe’s Green Lanterns will appear in the movie. This leaves open the question as to whether or not they exist yet, or are simply off-world when the events of Batman V Superman take place. Considering the Earth has experienced their first encounter with alien life — and that many of those aliens tried to kill its inhabitants — it would seem odd that The Guardians wouldn’t send Hal Jordan or John Stewart back to Earth to check in on things. This could potentially mean that the events of Man of Steel (as well as Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice) could act as the impetus for human recruitment into the Green Lantern Corps. There has been a fairly substantial amount of commotion associated with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice lately, and not all of it good. After the most recent trailer hit the web, some people were quick to assume that Warner Bros. had shown too much. If these cameos turn out to be anything close to the rumors, then it’s clear that the movie still has a few surprises left to show us.
